Tank Management Services will host the upcoming underground storage tank training classes at the
locations listed below. If you wish to attend one of the classes, fill out the registration form and check
the date and location you wish to attend, then hit the submit button at the bottom of the page. Classes
are free, but limited in size.

State of Kansas Senate Bill 190, signed by Governor Kathleen Sebilius on March 23, 2007 required operators of
Underground Storage Tanks (UST) to take Operator Training and such training will be required for 2011/2012
UST Permit.
US EPA sets standards for course content, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment has set a training
outline. TMS will be conducting the training.
UST Operator Training is FREE if you own or operate USTs in Kansas. Training for "A" Operators (persons having
primary responsibility for the on site operation and maintenance of USTs) and "B" Operators (persons having daily
on-site responsibility for the operation and maintenance of USTs) will be offered in group sessions across the
state. In 2008 TMS plans to hold 28 classes.
Tank owners and operators who have a large number of tanks may take a course in Training the Trainer. C Level
Training will be done by A or B Level Operators on site. Training materials for C level training are being developed
at this time.
